About Us
Seniorlink is dedicated to helping frail seniors and people with disabilities live with dignity and independence.
Seniorlink offers expertise in managing care for high-risk, high-cost frail elderly and disabled individuals, and an innovative service model appropriate for individuals who need care coordination and significant help with activities of daily living. The Caregiver Homes™ service model is available to Medicaid beneficiaries in Massachusetts and Rhode Island today, reducing costs and improving care and quality of life.
Seniorlink was founded in 2000 by E. Byron Hensley, Jr., who was impassioned by his own family caregiving experience to expand the choices available to elders in need of care. Seniorlink built the first nationwide network of credentialed care managers to provide local information and referrals to families in need.
In 2005, Seniorlink launched Caregiver Homes™, an innovative community care option for frail elders as well as the developmentally disabled. Caregiver Homes™ is modeled after The Mentor Network, which Mr. Hensley founded in 1983.
Today, Seniorlink provides expertise to multiple states and organizations wrestling with the cost and quality of long-term services and supports (LTSS) and how LTSS can lower medical costs and improve outcomes. Caregiver Homes™ today operates in two states and cares for 1,300 individuals today through a model of around-the-clock, at-home care for truly frail elders and developmentally disabled individuals living with a professionally supported, technology enabled, paid caregiver.
