When a caregiver makes a commitment to provide full-time care for a loved one, we want them to feel confident and secure in their decision. With the right kind of support, we know this is not only possible, but that it can be truly rewarding as well.
Our Structured Family Caregiving model was the first home and community-based services model in the nation to receive NCQA case management accreditation, and is an alternative to other models of care that rely on facilities or in-home workers such as personal care attendants (PCAs) or home health aides (HHAs). Structured Family Caregiving offers guidance, financial assistance and overall support at every step of the way, helping caregivers feel more confident in providing care for loved ones. Although caregivers are often family members, anyone committed to living with a care recipient, offering support as needed around the clock and providing care like family, may be eligible.
For caregivers, having a strong, loving relationship with a person they care for offers irreplaceable emotional benefits, and proven health benefits as well. In fact, we frequently hear from caregivers in our program about how being a live-in caregiver and supporting a loved one at home has benefited the entire family. Hear from them directly by visiting our stories page.
